Focus on the essentials -
the 4 Essentials for Life: Food, Water, Air, and Love.
Dr. Peter Minke shares that if something is essential for life, then it is powerful for healing. We tend to spend a lot of time on food. However, we can live weeks without food, days without water, but only minutes without air. As powerful as food is for our healing, water is more powerful, and air is even more powerful. (And the greatest of these is love....)
To start our Wellness Renewal, we start with AIR... and add LOVE along the way.
Dr. Minke has provided videos to help you get in touch with your Respiratory System:
1) learn the anatomy and how it functions,
2) utilize breath to become more self-aware,
3) find out how specific nutrients and supplements support the basic functions, and
4) be trained in do-able massage and movement techniques to facilitate optimal function and increase comfort levels.

These are greatly enhanced by adding in Young Living essential oils and supplements. You can choose what fits your needs, as well as time and money budget.
Action Steps for the month:
- Stop the Poison - Get rid of artificial fragrance in your living space (FREE)! Replace with natural, premium essential oils from Young Living. Get your diffuser out!
- Diffuse daily with Young Living essential oils and blends; try oils that are typically known for helping breathe easy.
- Focus on your breath for at least one short period of the day. Increasing your breath volume and oxygenation by even a little bit can have profound benefits! (FREE)
- Massage your ribcage to optimize your breath volume. This takes about 5-10 minutes and can be done daily or weekly. (FREE or add a massage oil)
- Take supplements to support and get in touch with your respiratory system.
- Apply Young Living essential oils topically to your chest and back to feel your Respiratory System.
- Build self-awareness skills, especially targeting your Respiratory System. (FREE)
- Speak powerful positive affirmations about your breath and body! (FREE)
Minimum
If you don't yet have a diffuser and Young Living essential oils, that's the place to start. Replace your artificial fragrance (candles, sprays, plug-ins, etc.).
You can use the essential oils and blends in the Premium Starter Kit for other parts of the Wellness Renewal -- making a massage oil, rubbing on topically to feel your Respiratory System, and even supplements to support the Respiratory System.
If you already have your diffuser and some oils to play with, you can choose to branch out and try some new oils.
If your budget allows, I would get Sulfurzyme, as well. Focusing on breathing and breath volume can get things moving in the body... Sulfurzyme provides basic nutrition to support the cleansing process. (Here's a video to explain.)
Basic
The Minimum plus I would highly recommend investing in the "Calm it Down Trio" of Sulfurzyme, Super C, Allerzyme. I find this trio helpful to manage cleansing reactions.
Complete
Oils and supplements to support your process of getting in touch with your Respiratory System!
- Choose a couple of essential oils or blends to apply topically and diffuse (RC, Myrtle, Breathe Again, etc.).
- Massage Oil to relax the ribcage and muscles around the Respiratory System (OrthoSport or OrthoEase)
- Release essential oil blend to manage emotional issues that may come up when focusing on breath.

'Tis the season for feasting! With holiday get togethers abounding, it can be challenging to keep our digestive systems happy!
Two Strategies for Feeling Great After Dinner (even if we ate too much...)
While we endeavor to make good food choices and eat reasonable portions, holiday gatherings can make that challenging on many levels. Often, we don't have control of what food is available. And, even when we do, the menu is often different than our normal, everyday fare.
To keep the tummy settled, we have found these to be helpful!
1) Essentialzymes-4
These digestive enzymes have a broad spectrum to address the four types of food: protein, carbohydrates, fiber, and fat. On typical days, we take them with our biggest meal. On feasting days, I take them before AND after the big feast -- and again if the food isn't digesting efficiently after an hour, or so.
2) DiGize Essential Oil Blend
We like to rub this essential oil blend on our tummies after a big meal, especially if the food isn't sitting quite right...
It's a great way to enhance massage for the abdomen. This video highlights abdominal massage using JuvaFlex (over the liver area) and DiGize (over the stomach area).
Massage enhanced with oils can help all along the digestive system!
DiGize also comes as a Vitality oil, meaning as a dietary supplement. It can be added to water (just a drop will do) to soothe the digestive system. We like to make a capsule with 3-4 drops and take with a meal.
Got Kids?
1) MightyZymes
There are digestive enzymes designed especially for kids - they're CHEWABLE. These MightyZymes changed our lives and helped our kids be able to manage eating out of the house at restaurants and other people's homes. We still have to be diligent in our food selections, but the enzymes helped smooth out any unforseen dietary issues!
2) TummyGize essential oil blend

Delicate
The skin around your eyes needs a little extra care! Young Living's Wolfberry Eye Cream is a thick moisturizer designed specifically for that!

It utilizes the powerful antioxidant (and anti-aging) benefits of wolfberry seed oil.
Some other ingredients of note are herbs that tone the skin, such as witch hazel, cucumber, and green tea.
It also features sodium hyaluronate -- a water-soluble salt of hyaluronic acid... both of which are helpful for connective tissue elasticity and supporting collagen production.
AND, it has amazing essential oils, such as sandalwood, frankincense, lavender, ylang ylang. geranium (and more).
Notice the technique of dot-dot-dot application of the moisturizer, as opposed to stretching the skin around the eyes! This helps to maintain elasticity and tone in the connective tissue.
Dark Circles
There are many reasons that dark circles can be occurring. One is lymph (or fluid) pooling... scroll down to the section on "Puffy."
I have found that when my digestion is inefficient or I'm experiencing a food sensitivity, the dark circles can get more pronounced. That's when I use Young Living's Essentialzymes-4 with my biggest meal to support the process of digestion.
When I'm not sleeping well, those circles can become darker (and bigger). Essential oils help me relax to go to sleep! There are so many options (a subject for another blog post...), but one of my favorites is Valor! I put it on the bottom of my feet, do the Valor hold, and then put a few more drops on the back of my neck!
Puffy

Wrinkles
